DevArt fail at categories - under people, there's anthro, manga/animuu, or general. My more American-style comic art has no place. >:

Anyway, this is a bust-shot of Ellen's new character design for The Network, and a practice in inking.

Flaws I am aware of: the chin is too high up with not enough curve to the ear, and the 'brush pen' failed miserably at the rucksack straps.

When I'm more comfortable with Photoshop, i'll fix these flaws and move this to scraps.

As you can tell by the shakiness of some of the lines and th varying thickness, inking is still something I need to get used to. Steady hands = not my forte.

Materials used: normal (and probably blunt) pencil, then a faber castell pen in 'F' (for fiiiine) and 'B' (for brush, used for filling in the black areas.
